今年に入り、ツキノワグマの目撃が芦生研究林事務所付近や構内、林内においても相次いでいます。
９月３日にも目撃情報が相次いでいます。

研究・教育利用は引き続き受け入れていますが、以下の点に注意してください。
１．指導教官とリスクについて相談する。場合によって計画の見直しをおこなう。
２．複数人で林内では行動する。
３．朝・夕方・夜・土日祝日の入林は極力避ける。
４．クマ鈴・クマスプレー・ラジオなどを携行する。
５．宿泊所近辺も危険ですので、よく周りを身ながら、屋外に出る。
２０２４年のこれまでの経緯
6月23日から連日、芦生研究林事務所付近や構内にて、ツキノワグマが頻繁に目撃されました。6月23日の昼間に由良川橋（トロッコ軌道の橋）周辺にて、親子のツキノワグマが目撃されました。芦生研究林の構内においても、6月24日19:30頃、6月25日10:30頃にコグマが目撃されております。夜間に限らず、昼間にも構内で目撃されており、親子であることから、従来以上に危険性が高い状況です。
上記の理由から、状況が改善されるまでブナノキ峠方面、トロッコ軌道方面への一般入林を禁止します。
7月14日(日)の日中に、研究林事務所付近で再度親熊の目撃がありました。入林禁止措置を継続。
8月６日に一般入林制限を解除しました。
その後も夜間・朝方に芦生研究林事務所付近にて目撃がありました。
9月３日に、芦生研究林事務所付近、林内にて朝・昼間にツキノワグマが目撃されました。厳重注意を呼びかけています。
Records of black bears in 2024
Since June 23, Asian black bears have been frequently seen near the Office of Ashiu Forest Research Station and on the premises every day.
A mother and child black bear were seen around the Yuragawa bridge (bridge of the trolley track) during the daytime on June 23.Child bears were also spotted on the Ashiu Research Forest premises at around 7:30 p.m. on June 24 and 10:30 a.m. on June 25.
Not only at night, but also during the daytime, they have been sighted on the premises, and since they are a parent and cub, the situation is more dangerous than before.
For the above reasons, we prohibit public access to the Bunanoki Pass and the trolley tracks until the situation improves.During the day on Sunday, July 14, a parent bear was seen again near the Ashiu Forest Research Station office. The prohibition of entry to the forest is still in effect.
August 6, the prohibition of entry to the forest was removed.
Bears have been seen frequently around the village in night and morning.
Bears have been seen seen near the Office of the Ashiu Forest Research Research Station and in the forest even in daytime on September 3rd.
