I have an academic background in ecology, with a dual specialization in biodiversity conservation and in modeling and statistics applied to ecological systems. In parallel, I completed a bachelor’s degree in sociology, motivated by the perception that ecological training often overlooks the social dimension, despite human activities being the main drivers of the biodiversity crisis.

The central question guiding my research is how environmental problems can be addressed while explicitly accounting for human factors. My work aims to bridge ecological processes with social and economic dimensions in order to produce more integrated and relevant insights for conservation and environmental management.

Methodologically, I combine statistical analysis, process-based modeling, and machine learning. My work ranges from modeling climate change impacts on biological systems using mechanistic approaches to integrating socio-economic indicators into ecological analyses to better understand human–environment interactions. I also started to apply machine learning techniques to large, complex datasets to address broad environmental and societal questions.

Through this interdisciplinary approach, I aim to contribute to more holistic strategies for understanding and addressing the biodiversity crisis.
