Mr. Yosuke Okumura (Master of Graduate School of Science) received ORAL PRESENTATION AWARDS(Research of Excellence) at International Malacology Seminar, Society for the Study of Molluscan Diversity at Osaka Museum of Natural History on March 3, 2018.
2018（平成30）年3月3日に、大阪市立自然史博物館で開催された軟体動物多様性学会 国際研究発表において、理学研究科生物科学専攻 修士１年の奥村 洋介氏および中野 智之助教が軟体動物多様性学会大会優秀賞(Research of Excellence)を受賞しました。
The title: Homing behavior of Lottia tenuisculpta on the gastropod shell.

＜Summary／研究紹介＞
Lottia tenuisculpta can be found on rocks and the other gastropod shells. We observed the placement of L. tenuisculpta on the host gastropod shell every 2 hours during 24 hours. As the results, the limpets were often found around the aperture of host gastropods and shown the homing behavior. Interestingly, we found a rotation behavior of the limpet on gastropod shells.
コモレビコガモガイは、幼貝時に巻貝類のヒメクボガイに付着することがある。本研究では飼育環境下で、巻貝に付着したコモレビコガモガイの付着位置の変化を2時間ごと24時間にわたり記録した。その結果、コモレビコガモガイは、ホストとなる貝の殻口周辺でよく見られること、殻上で帰家行動を行っていること、その場で180度方向を変える行動が見られることが明らかになった。
